Hunted Australia 2024’s Fugitives have the opportunity to bag up to a million bucks, but to do so they’ll need to outsmart some very experienced Hunters.
Nine pairs of everyday Aussies are tasked with the mission of evading the Hunters for 21 days and if they can do just that, they’ll win the prize money.
However, the Hunters are made up of some of the best in the business. They’ve worked for the Australian Federal Police, Australian Defence Force, British military, special ops and private security.
Meet the five main Hunters from Hunted Australia 2024 below:
Reece Dewar OAM – Chief
Reece Dewar worked under Dr David Craig for the first two seasons of Hunted Australia as the Deputy of Operations. This season he’ll be in charge as the Chief.
Prior to Hunted Australia, Reece spent 23 years with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in training and operational deployment and served in the Special Operations Command for 12 of those years.
With experience in counter-terrorism, offshore recovery operations, reconnaissance and surveillance operations, he’ll be one for the Fugitives to watch out for.
Ben Owen – Deputy
Ben Owen will continue his role as Deputy of Intelligence on Hunted Australia Season 3. He’s been part of the Hunted UK team since the program’s inception in 2015 – he was the Deputy Chief from 2015-2019 and Chief from 2019-2020.
Outside of Hunted Australia, Ben served in the British military as a sniper and had a decade-long career in intelligence.
Now working in cyber security and digital intelligence he advises organisations around the globe on cyber safety and necessary protections.
Dr Karla Lopez – Forensice Pyschologist
Dr Karla Lopez is another Hunted Australia returnee and she’ll be continuing her role as the show’s Forensic Psychologist.
She has more than 20 years of experience in her field and has held senior psychologist roles within community health, correctional, prison and policing settings, including working within the Victoria Police and Department of Justice.
Graeme Simpfendorfer – Lead Investigator
Graeme Simpfendorfer will be taking part in his third season of Hunted Australia as the team’s Lead Investigator.
He’s a retired Victoria Police Detective Sergeant who worked on the front line of policing for 27 years.
Graeme’s work has spanned day-to-day policing, all the way through from the arrest, investigation and successful prosecution of armed robbery and homicide suspects.
Carla Coslovich – Lead Intelligence
Carla Coslovich is a newcomer to Hunted Australia, but not to the industry. She was part of the Victoria Police Force for 16 years and reached the revered rank of Senior Sergeant.
After retiring from the Police Force Carla worked as a Security Operations Manager within the AFL for five years.
She established the first-ever Security Department and built a team that serviced every AFL club, stadium and law enforcement agency across the country in security operations and intelligence.
Other Hunters
The five aforementioned Hunters will be joined by an extended team, made up of the below:
- Leigha Fraser – Senior Principal Analyst
- Leah Pinto – Lead Cyber
