Simone and Viviana won My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024, and have spilled how they spent their evening celebrating their well deserved win.
Speaking to Chattr during an exclusive post-win interview they said they were joined by some of their former cast mates to celebrate.
Simone and Viviana revealed that they found out that they’d won the season along with Australia because, like most reality TV shows, two alternate endings were filmed—one showing them being crowned the winners and another showing Gatecrashers Caz and Fergus receiving the most points.
The choice to keep the winner secret until the air date minimises the chance of the result being leaked.
“It was breathtaking,” Viviana shared. “We didn’t know until last night, and it was easily one of the happiest moments of my life.
“All of the hard work paid off, and to win this with my best friend, I could have never, never asked for something better than this,” she added.
Simone and Viviana nervously watched the episode alongside their loved ones, as well as some of the MKR cast.
“We had a watch party at Simone’s restaurant, Doughcraft, and we invited all of our friends. Most of the other teams were there: Rob and Liam, Ash and Cassie, Hannah and Lawrence, Danny and Sonia. They all flew over to watch the grand final with us; it was fantastic!” Viviana explained.
The Italian besties added that they partied “very hard” after learning that they’d won the season.
MKR 2024’s Simone and Viviana’s advice for dealing with hangovers
It’s well known that some chefs have secret strategies for dealing with hangovers, and that knowledge undoubtedly came in handy for Simone and Viviana, who were signed up for a day of media appearances following their victory.
“Right now, I’m sitting on my bed with a Big Mac, with a large fries and a Coke with no sugar, I think that’s the best hangover cure,” Simone laughed.
“Fatty food is the best, I’ve got my Uber Eats on the way,” Viviana added.
While the pair may now be MKR champions, they’re just like us normies when it comes to dealing with hangovers.
