Already engrossed in Farmer Wants a Wife 2024 and ready for more?! Well according to host Samantha Armytage, there are “a few surprises” you won’t want to miss.
Speaking to Chattr just before the season began, Samantha — who is hosting for the second time this year — revealed that while she can’t “tell us too much”, she did say that “there was a situation” that unfolded that “perhaps hasn’t happened in the past!”
“What everybody loves about Farmer is still there,” the 47-year-old said. “[This year] Ladies changed their mind on things and we couldn’t act to that, so we went way off script.
“The producers would say to me, ‘Ok, we thought X was going to happen tonight, but Y is going to happen now.”
When asked if there was a potential Farmer / Lady swap (can you imagine?!), Sam said: “We don’t encourage it” adding that they “try to keep it fairly wholesome”.
“That is not going to happen,” she added. “But look, let me say there were things that happened during filming that we did react to, which I think you have to. But It’s all pretty good clean fun!”
This year’s farmers include Farmer Bert, 30, from Wamuran, Queensland; Farmer Joe, 33, from Bombala, NSW; Farmer Dustin, 26, from Condobolin, New South Wales; Farmer Dean, 25, from Kandanga, Queensland and Farmer Tom, 22, from Tabilk, Victoria, whom Sam says are “all very different”.
“There’s something for everybody,” she said adding that the Ladies who applied “are also all very different and have quite a diverse range of personalities”.
She continued: “I am just absolutely blown away by how accomplished, dynamic and brave these women are, who applied on this on the show. We get 1000s of applications.
“There are so many women that want to marry a Farmer and move to the country. It just blows my mind.”
