If Emelia looks familiar, that’s because Dessert Masters is not her first cooking competition.

She first appeared on MasterChef Australia in 2014, where she claimed third place. Emelia returned for the Back to Win season in 2020 and took home the title as that year’s winner. Now in her third stint on reality TV, Emelia’s competitive edge is sharper than ever.

Emelia’s work outside cooking shows

Beyond TV, Emelia has published two books: First, Cream The Butter And Sugar: The Essential Baking Companion and Some Of My Best Friends Are Cookies.

She also offers cooking classes in Victoria, sharing her passion and expertise with aspiring chefs.

While competing in the Dessert Masters kitchen, Emelia has won over the judges with creations like her Floating Island and Toffee Tarte Tatin. Judge Amaury Guichon even described her Toffee Tarte dessert as “perfection”.

Emelia Jackson was asked to be on Dessert Masters before

Another fun fact you may not be aware of is that Emelia was actually invited to be a part of the first season of Dessert Masters. She turned down the opportunity, however, because she was due to give birth on the first day of filming. Fair call.

“I knew they were going to call me back, I just didn’t know when,” she said on the turn of events,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

“And then also, I didn’t know if I was ready to actually launch myself into that chaos again. So I was like, if I don’t get the phone call, is that a bad thing? If I do get the phone call, I’m obviously going to say yes,” Emelia explained.

“So I was unsure about the whole thing and very nervous about it.”

As we all now know, Emelia did get that call, and she did say yes! So now we have the pleasure of being able to watch her cook on Dessert Masters 2024. And one thing’s for certain: Emelia’s skill and reputation make her a contestant to watch this season.

Dessert Masters airs on Mondays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
