In a twist precisely no one saw coming, fans are currently in shock over the news that former Love Island Australia 2024 contestant Eilisha Purcell has rather famous family members.
As was reported by The Daily Mail a little while back, Eilisha is actually the niece (through marriage) of Tish Cyrus. Yes, Miley Cyrus‘ mother.
How is Eilisha related to Miley Cyrus?
Fans recently spotted on Eilisha’s Instagram account that she had been a guest at Tish Cyrus’ wedding to Australian actor Dominic Purcell.
As it turns out, Eilisha is Dominic’s niece, and his marriage to Tish now makes them aunt and niece. By extension, that would mean Eilisha and Miley are now step-cousins as well.
“Throwback to an amazing wedding celebrating love,” Eilisha wrote on her Instagram post featuring photos from the celebrity wedding.
In the snaps, we see Eilisha posing with Miley, Dominic, Tish and other guests of the wedding.
Tish even commented on the post, writing, “My mermaid nieces.”
Eilisha was a bridesmaid at the wedding, suggesting she shares a pretty close relationship with the bride and groom, too!
Eilisha on Love Island Australia
For those who are unfamiliar, Eilisha, 25, appeared on the 2024 season of Love Island Australia and was briefly partnered up with Taylor Reid.
She was eventually dumped from the villa, however, after Taylor decided to Couple Up with Em Miguel Leigh, instead.
Some folks believe we’ll get another glimpse of Eilisha during the infamous Movie Night episode, so keep an eye out!
