The contestants on Dessert Masters 2024 have made some mouthwatering creations, but did you know many of them own their own restaurants and pastry shops?
We’ve seen them whip up Vegemite inspired dishes to classic Aussie bakery favourites, which, sadly we can’t eat.
But, we’ve found the second best thing, the restaurants and shops some of the contestants own where we can treat ourselves to their delectable desserts.
Not every contestant has their own restaurant or pastry shop, but Christy Tania, Donato Toce, John Demetrios, Reece Highnell, and Alicia Henderson does!
Here is every constestant from Dessert Masters 2024 that has a restaurant or pastry shop!
Christy Tania
Christy owns a pastry shop called Glacé, opened in 2017. It combines French techniques with Victoria’s fresh produce and forward-thinking culinary trends.
If you pop into the shop, you can grab some macarons, cakes, or petit gateaux. You can even buy the Rubix Cube that was created on Dessert Masters!
Where is Glacé located?
You can find Glacé at Shop 2/ 1A Peel St, Windsor Victoria. It is open everyday from to 7am – 3pm.
Donato Toce
Donato is the head creative chef and co-owner of Messina Gelato, yes that Messina.
Messina, a very popular gelato chain, had humble beginnings opening as a solo shop in Sydney way back in 2002.
Each shop has a 40 flavour cabinet, with 35 traditional flavours and 5 rotating weekly specials. Check out their Instagram for their latest creatvie creations.

John Demetrios
John is the executive pastry chef of LK Hospitality where he oversees venues such as Omnia and Yugen.
Omnia is a neighbourhood bistro and bar and Yugen is a new restaurant influnced by the flavours and cusines of Asia.
Where is Omnia and Yugen located?
Omnia is located at 625 Chapel Street, South Yarra. It’s open Tuesday to Saturday 5.30pm – late, and
Thursday to Saturday: 12pm – 2.30pm,
Yugen can be found at 605 Chapel street, South Yarra, Melbourne. It’s open Wednesday to Sunday 6pm until late.
Reece Hignell
Reece, the creator of Cakeboi has recently opened Acacia Dining in Maitland, a cute cafe made by locals for locals. He is also undertaking a 12-month residency at QT Hotel Newcastle, featuring his delicious Cakeboi cakes.
Where is Acacia Dining and QT Newcastle located?
Acacia Dining is at 396 High Street, Maitland, NSW, 2320. Its opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm, Saturdays and Sundays, 8am – 3pm.
QT Hotel Newcastle is located at 185 Hunter St, Newcastle, NSW 2300.
Alisha Henderson
While she doesn’t have a restaurant, Alisha does have a cute little pop up shop made specifically for creatives and bakers called Co. Bake.
Some of the guests she’s had at Co. Bake include Neat Cakes and Sweet Bakes.

Co. Bake is located at 239 Swan St, Richmond, Victoria.
