Pop icon Beyoncé has announced her first world tour in seven years, taking her popular album Renaissance on the road.
The highly anticipated global event will begin on May 10 at Stockholm’s Friends Arena before the 41-year-old works were through stadiums in Europe and the UK.
She will then hit North America on July 7, opening in Toronto before making her way to her final destination, New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome, on September 27.
As for Australia, it will be the first time she has appeared on our shores for over a decade — with promoters confirming that “dates have been locked in”.
The Grammy award winner will reportedly headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth before playing in Auckland.
Taking to Instagram on February 1, the mum-of-three shared an INSANE snap alongside a very short announcement.
“RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023 [sic],” she captioned the post.
The Renaissance album has been hailed as a career-best, acclaimed for its pivot to club styles such as house and disco. It has also been praised for highlighting LGBTQ+ Black pioneers such as Honey Dijon, Kevin Aviance, Ts Madison and Big Freedia.
The superstar’s last tour, Formation, was in 2016, which grossed a MASSIVE $USD 256 million from 49 sold-out shows across the world.
In 2023, the artist was criticised for headlining the opening of The Atlantis in Dubai, given the United Arab Emirates’ criminalisation of homosexuality.
