90’s and 00’s bands we wish would do reunion tours

With the announcement of old-school 90’s brothers’ band Hanson to do a 25th-anniversary tour, my nostalgia kicked into full gear. Although the band won’t be coming to Australia, it got me thinking about other 90’s and 00’s bands I’d like to hear. Naturally, I decided to make a list. If you have any bands that I’ve missed, feel free to let me know in the comments.

The Spice Girls

The Spice girls were an English pop group that were formed in 1994. That’s when I was born, but yet I still know all the words to ‘Wannabe’, which was undoubtedly their biggest hit next to ‘stop right now, thank you very much, I need somebody with a human to-ouch’. I would love for the girl group to get back together, but considering the drama that surrounds the girls getting back together and Victoria Beckham vetoing a reunion HARD in May 2016, it’ll never be a dream. Never ever. Fml.

*NSYNC

*NSYNC were an amazing boyband that featured baby Justin Timberlake that started in 1995. The five young men all looked like Guy Fieri’s sons and stole the hearts of teenagers around the world with their emotional, yet poppy, ballad ‘Bye Bye Bye’. They also had a tune that featured in the animated Jimmy Neutron Movie called ‘Pop’, which features Justin Timberlake showing off his beatboxing and dance skills while everyone else just awkwardly dances around him. A reunion tour would be amazing, but Justin Timberlake is just too big now and the MTV Music Awards reunion is all we’re going to get. Far out.

Atomic Kitten

Looking back, it was clear I had no idea what this song was about. Didn’t stop me from begging my family to put it on in the car and me belting along to the lyrics.

Considering the song came out 17 years ago, which means I would’ve been 5, I clearly had no idea what the lyrics meant. No wonder my dad mysteriously ‘lost’ the CD.

Atomic Kitten were a UK girl band my sister and I loved. With their soft voices, cool lyrics and catchy 00’s music, it was a recipe for success. I would love to see these girls tour again, although I’m not sure whether or not the original members are still on speaking terms. Would definitely be good to see them perform, though.

These are just a few of the bands I’d like to see reunion tours for. Let me know what bands you’d like to see in the comments! There’s definitely a few I’ve missed.
