Ever wanted to see everything Australian encapsulated as cute lil’ pixel creatures? Pixel artist, Paul Robertson certainly has.

Combining Pokémon-aesthetics with some very recognisable Australian icons, Robertson created a whole Pokédex of Aussie-inspired creatures.

Get ready to acquaint yourselves with Lamingtonne, Gooanna, Spitthedummy, Whoroo, Fongg and, my personal favourite, Drongo.

The Pokédex is just the latest project for Robertson – he has also created pixel art for Super Dino Boys and Rick and Morty. He’s also the man behind that awesome pixel video of The Simpsons.

Check out his unique collection of Ausssie Pokémon below. Each are sure to have you giggling with delight at their relevance to Australian life (some of them may have made us snort-laugh ).

We can’t wait to see what this talented artist comes up with next. Until then, we’re hoping the entire Pokédex will someday be available in a more collectable form. We simply must have a Treemuu.

Gotta catch em all!
