Since the beginning of Love Island Australia 2024, Mimi Paranihi has stood out as one of the most popular Islanders in the villa. So, who she ends up with is going to matter to a lot of fans at home. Currently, Mimi is coupled up with French Bombshell Steph Blackos, but will the pair stay together post-show?
Here’s everything we know about this Love Island Australia couple and their relationship status.
Steph and Mimi: Does this couple survive Love Island Australia?
Things are still looking pretty strong on the show for fan-favourite Mimi and her beau Steph. Initially, Redditors users weren’t so sure about the couple, but opinions seem to have since shifted. Fans are now calling them one of the show’s favourite couples, with many hoping they’ll be the ones to make it to the end.
“These two are the only sane couple in the house [right now],” said one user.
However, with Hotel Amor turning things on their heads, the couple has been given a new test. Superfans chose for Mimi to be paired off for the private hotel experience with Dylan – her former flame in the villa. Steph was sent off with fellow Bombshell, Kaylah.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the pair will Recouple with different people, but it’ll certainly be a test!
On arriving at Hotel Amor, Mimi told producers, “I should be here with Steph, I think.”
Steph and Mimi’s Love Island story
Mimi was one of the original Islanders on Love Island Australia 2024, and early on, she was coupled up with Dylan.
As time passed and Steph eventually entered the villa as a Bombshell (a Love God, in fact), Mimi found herself leaning toward the Frenchman instead and eventually, she recoupled up with him.
Would Steph move to Australia for Mimi?
A big question that arises for these two is the fact that they live in different countries. Mimi, although originally from New Zealand, now lives in Australia, and Steph is from France. That’s quite a distance to navigate should the couple last long-term.
Speaking with Chattr in an exclusive interview, Mimi shared that the couple actually discussed moving to be together rather early on.
“He [Steph] said he would move wherever, and he would move to Australia, he’s done that before,” she said.
“Which was obviously a nice feeling, because I said to him right off the bat that I would never move to France, I have no interest. And he reassured me that he would come and visit me in Australia.”
So, will they stay together after the villa? Only time will tell, but for now, Mimi and Steph are a couple to watch!
