We’re counting down to the hotly anticipated season of Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025, and rumours are already flying about this year’s couples! With a leaked cast and talks of break-ups already to boot, one MAFS 2025 couple seems primed to keep us hooked: Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou.
So, are Awhina and Adrian still together? Here’s what we know.
Awhina and Adrian’s pairing
Awhina is a mother-of-one who, according to the Daily Mail Australia loves to cook and entertain, could be a perfect match for Adrian. Did you know he’s basically a foodie influencer?
Yep, Adrian has over 11,000 followers on his viral Instagram and TikTok account, Sweeet Sundayz, which he runs with fellow food content creator Jasmin Weston. I can just see the brand partnerships now! No doubt, we’ll be seeing the HelloFresh discount code on a collaborated post by July.
And when Adrian’s not making us crave cheeky treats, the MAFS groom is running his own sports lifestyle brand, PAKD Sport, which he launched in 2022.
Just like Adrian, Ahwina also enjoys looking her best. According to Daily Mail, in her spare-time, The Perth-based mother-of-one is also a fan of nights out and doing makeup.
She’s been described by Daily Mail as having a “feisty edge,” and it looks like she’s earning her place as the season’s wildcard.
A MAFS production insider told the news publication that Awhina isn’t afraid to break the rules, and that’s exactly what makes her so watchable.
“She’s bold, she’s fearless, and she’s got no problem confronting anyone who crosses her.”

According to The Daily Mail, Awhina and Adrian’s fiery chemistry on MAFS has insiders predicting they’ll become the season’s “breakout couple”.
“Their chemistry is undeniable,” an insider told the news outlet, which has also described them as the couple “tipped to become the… favourites.”
But (there’s always a but, isn’t there?) it seems not everything’s been smooth sailing.
According to Daily Mail, the pair was reportedly spotted “storming out” of One Global Resorts in Green Square (formerly Skye Suites).
“There’s been tension building for a while,” a MAFS insider told the publication.
“Adrian’s been struggling to keep up with Awhina’s high-energy and spontaneous behaviour.”
From the sounds of things, the couple may have already reached a breaking point.
“They’ve had their fair share of ups and downs. Adrian’s trying to stay level-headed, but Awhina’s not one to back down from a fight. It’s definitely putting a strain on their relationship,” the source added.
As of now, it’s unclear whether Awhina and Adrian are among the rumoured early walk-outs this season of MAFS. Will their ups and downs lead to a sweet finish? Only time will tell!
