It was week seven of The Block 2024 room reveals, and the contestants presented their finished ensuite bathrooms to the judges.
It was a rough week for Maddy and Charlotte after the other contestants discovered that they’d flipped houses in the past. Some contestants felt that the sisters were being “sneaky” by not being forthright with the information.
However, despite the tension in the group, Maddy and Charlotte received glowing feedback for their room from The Block judges and took out the win.
All of the contestants, except Brad and Kylie, congratulated the girls on their win, and the married couple made it clear that they didn’t like Maddy and Charlotte.

The Block’s Maddy and Charlotte

The judges loved Maddy and Charlotte’s neutral colour palette. They noted that the bathroom was the girls’ first room that was 100 percent their ideas and execution, and Shaynna Blaze coined a new style for the sisters: Classic Simplicity.

Courtney and Grant’s striking bathroom caused a big divide between the judges. Marty Fox felt it was far too over the top and too much, while Shaynna and Darren Palmer thought the design was spectacular.

This week’s Bathroom Week was a much better effort for Ricky and Haydn. The judges loved the continuation of the circular theme, noting that it was very Phillip Island. They thought the different yellows—from wall paint to tiles—could have been a bit different and more subtle.
The Block’s Kylie and Brad

Darren said that Brad and Kylie’s dark bathroom was bold and unique and that he loved it, but Marty wasn’t a massive fan of tiles that resembled natural timber.

Marty said that Kristian and Mimi’s room was clean and very marketable. But Shaynna thought it was too similar to the team’s other bathrooms. All three judges agreed that the finishes weren’t great.
The Block airs on Sunday at 7:00pm and continues Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
