As if anyone needed any other reasons to want 2016 over and done with, the second Guardians of the Galaxy 2 trailer dropped and man, 2017 can’t come soon enough.

Featuring your favourite old gang, the trailer shows the story picking where we left off in part one: with the guardians setting off on new adventures and with the most adorable creature known to mankind. Baby Groot.

Rocking the same 80s vibe of the last film, the sequel stars Chris Pratt (SWOON) as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, and Vin Diesel as Baby Groot. The trailer doesn’t really give a lot away in terms of letting us know if this will be a stand alone film or tied into the Marvel Cinematic Universe Thanos narrative, but either way, it’s action packed.

You can expect a killer soundtrack and some good old fashion sci-fi fun in cinemas April next year. In the meantime, try (and fail) to satiate your Baby Groot cravings with the full trailer below.
