Montaigne Headed for Wollongong!

Just the name Montaigne is music to the ears! But we aren’t talking about 16th century Montaigne, but Sydney-based singer, songwriter Jessica Cerro – and she’s on the move.

Since being named a finalist in Triple J’s Unearthed High competition in 2012, Montaigne has been on the hunt for a deeper and more meaningful sound – and we’d argue she’s nailed it.

Currently touring her new album BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, Montaigne’s show cannot be missed, and her fans agree. Dates have been selling out across the country with extra shows added in both Melbourne and Sydney due to high demand.

Check out Cerro (Montaigne) chatting about her latest album below:

BECAUSE I LOVE YOU was written in close collaboration with Tony Buchen, who has worked with acts including Andy Bull, Spookyland and The Preatures.

Cerro is pumped to be hitting the road throughout September and October, enthusing,

“I think this will be the most fun tour yet. It’s gonna be like a grand quest, and what we’ll be questing for is les frissons which come with live performance. It’s gonna be so nerdy and great!”

Montaigne will be heading to UOW‘s UniBar Friday next week and it’s your lucky day because there are still tickets available!

Trust us – you don’t want to miss this.
