The one and only silly man himself, John Cleese is bringing his beloved 1970s sitcom Fawlty Towers to the stage 41 years after its original premier. Manic, snobbish, condescending, sycophantic and rude, Basil Fawlty is without doubt one of the funniest and most iconic British comedy characters ever written, and Fawlty Towers is often described as the perfect sitcom that never had enough episodes. Although Cleese is not reclaiming his role for the live performances, this original adaptation features an all-new Australian cast that brings all your favourite characters to life onstage. Fawlty Towers Live is guaranteed to be an unmissable performance both hilarious and absurd.

The Rock Lily on Level 1 of The Star is your destination for trivia every Tuesday. If free entry wasn’t enough,  their pizzas go for  only $10 and beer jugs a low low $15 (Um you had me at pizza but beer just seals the deal). While first prize at most pub trivia nights is a measly $50 to $100 in bar credit, at Rock Lily first prize is a cold hard $500 cash every single Tuesday. That’s right – win the comp and half a grand is yours for the taking, no strings attached. Teams can be as small as two or as large as ten. Be warned however – a larger team might increases your odds of winning, but a smaller one gets you a larger cut of that cash money.

This won’t be the case however for Sosueme, Sydney’s longstanding mid-week rager. Celebrating nine years of live music, Sosueme has served as a launching point for some of Australia’s biggest artists like Hermitude, Alison Wonderland, Flume, Hayden James and more. Headlining Wednesday night’s party will be Yacht Club DJs, Gold Coast producer Paces, and Triple J’s Tom Tilley and Alex Dyson. This is the 9th birthday party you don’t want to miss.
