Love Island Australia alum to appear alongside Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester in new Stan show

And it's not who you'd think!

Love Island Australia 2023‘s Reid Polak is onto bigger and better things, with the 27-year-old returning to TV in Good Cop/Bad Cop.

During the fifth season of the hit dating show, Reid was certainly controversial, particularly when it came to his fraught coupling with Kirra Schofield.

Fans later accused him of “faking” his relationship with Chloe Jackson, and if he had been, it seems his acting chops are paying off!

The model-turned-reality star was outed by Daily Mail Australia as a cast member in Good Cop/Bad Cop.

The outlet detailed that he hasn’t officially been announced as being involved with the Stan Original Series. However, Reid has reportedly been sharing snaps of himself hanging out with co-stars.

This includes Aussie actor Luke Cook, who also appeared in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Good Cop/Bad Cop will also star Gossip Girl alumni Leighton Meester and Clancy Brown, known for Billions and Dexter: New Blood.

Stan announced the upcoming series on March 12, revealing it to be a procedural comedic drama from the writer of Will & Grace and Workaholics.

What is Good Cop/Bad Cop about?

As per Stan’s press release, Meester and Cook will play Lou and Henry, a sister-brother detective team in a small Pacific Northwest police force.

There, they “must contend with colourful residents, a serious lack of resources, and their very complicated dynamic with each other and their police chief, Big Hank — who happens to be their father”.

The eight-part series began filming in South East Queensland in late March.

However, there’s no word yet on when it will premiere on the streaming service.
