Who is The Voice Australia’s Tom Leeming? Meet the QLD busker

He has performed covers from artists like Hozier and Lewis Capaldi.

If you’ve ever walked the streets of the Sunshine Coast, you may have heard the dulcet tunes of Tom Leeming who is currently competing on The Voice Australia 2024.

Tom has been singing on the Sunshine Coast as a busker and wedding singer for years. But decided that this year was the time to audition for The Voice Australia.

Before The Voice Australia, he made the footpaths of Queensland much cheerier by performing renditions of songs by Lewis Capaldi, Robyn, and Hozier.

Tom Leeming has a cheeky side

Not only does Tom have a killer singing voice, but he’s also very funny!

On one of his Instagram posts he jokes about The Voice Australia trying to “steal” his organs!

“I was always hesitant about going on The Voice, assuming they would try and steal my organs but I’m so incredibly grateful I did go on the show because I got to meet a group of people who, quicker than I thought possible, became my family.”

You can also see how cheeky he is on The Voice Australia when, during one of the episodes, he says he “gyrates way too much for family television”!

Watch Tom’s blind audition below. He sang Queen’s Somebody to Love, and his performance received a standing ovation and a four-chair turn from all the judges. Ultimately, he picked Kate Miller-Heidke as his coach.

During the Battles round, he was up against Lana Sayah , and they sang Bennie and the Jets by Elton John. Then, in the Knockout round, he performed Tom Odell’s Another Love.

Good luck Tom!
