Exclusive: A friend shares the unaired reason behind MAFS’ Andrea and Richard’s huge fights

"It destroyed her ability to trust him."

A friend of Andrea Thompson’s has slammed her TV marriage to Richard Sauerman, and said that viewers “don’t know half the bad things he’s done to her.”

The friend, who we verified to have spent time with Andrea recently, said that Andrea told her that she put a lot of emotional effort into the relationship, but Richard was more interested in the physical aspects of their union.

The friend said that Andrea explained why wanted to slow down the physical aspects of their marriage.

“She wanted a break from all the sex to build a meaningful relationship. She tried to be intimate in other ways to make it up to him,” the friend, who asked to remain anonymous said.

“He told her she wasn’t trying when she did two days of other intimacy activities with him like melting hugs, printing out a bunch of romantic photos of them together for him to keep, snuggles on the couch etc – but because he wasn’t getting sex he accused her of not trying in the relationship.”

The friend revealed what wasn’t shown on TV

The friend said that Andrea told Richard things off-camera, which he aired to the group during filming.

“There were several times she told him very personal things in private and asked him not to tell anyone and he brought those things up in front of the entire group and the cameras. It destroyed her ability to trust him.”

The friend thinks Andrea deserves better

The friend told us that she’s been told by Andrea about some things that Richard has done to her, that haven’t made the edit.

“In all the years I’ve known Andrea, she’s been kind, generous and thoughtful not cold and unforgiving. She’s a lot of fun and very funny and creative.

“I can’t stand seeing people online saying she’s done him wrong when they don’t know half the bad things he’s done to her.”
