We're ready!

Six teams of polarising My Kitchen Rules contestants will be cooking on gas in the 2024 MKR Instant Restaurant round.

Each team is made up of two cast members; and this year we have friends, lovers and siblings showing off their best culinary delights.

The six teams of My Kitchen Rules contestants will travel around the country and visit each take turns to cook for their competitors in their own home kitchen. They’ll also be cooking for judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge.

Meet the 2024 My Kitchen Rules cast.

Ash and Cassie are young mums, self-professed “food science nerds” and dietitians.

Cassie is the author of the macrobiotic cookbook Meet the Macros, and Ash is a former pilates instructor who loves the outdoors.

“As a fertility, pregnancy and postpartum dietitian, my mission is to inspire Australians to get into the kitchen and cook with tasty and nutritious whole foods to influence the health of future generations,” Ash said in an MKR press release.

“I believe I have what it takes to win with Ash by my side while utilising healthier alternatives. I want to show Australia that tasty meals can also be healthy,” Cassie added.

Danny and Sonia

Brother and sister duo Danny and Sonia grew up on a small rural town in North Queensland, where they were raised to hunt, fish and cook.

Danny is a father or two, a grandad, and a butcher by trade. Sonia is a hard-working mum of two who owns her own cleaning business.

“We grew up cooking at Nonna’s place. A lot was self-taught once I got a bit older, but the love of food definitely stems from my childhood,” Sonia explained in a press release.

Hannah and Lawrence have been dating for a year and a half, and she’s hoping for an engagement ring once MKR is over.

“It’s no secret I want to marry Hannah. If we won, we’d put the money towards a wedding and buying a house together. $100,000 is a lot of money and could really kick start our lives together,” Lawrence said in a press release.

Hannah added: “Let’s make it official!”

Mike and Pete

Long-term friends Mike and Pete aren’t afraid to speak their minds – even if those thoughts are negative.

“My mouth goes faster than my brain, it can get me in trouble for sure,” Mike admitted in a press release.

The outspoken pals will be serving refined Italian classics and honouring their family traditions while hoping to top the My Kitchen Rules leaderboard.

“I am adventurous with my cooking and like to push myself, sometimes to my own detriment. I am pretty confident with balancing flavours but also love our traditional Italian cuisine,” Pete said in the press release.

Rob and Liam

Rob and Liam are competitive brothers from Victoria who dream of launching their own sauce brand.

Rob and Liam learned to cook by helping their mother, “an absolute weapon in the kitchen” who occasionally still guides them along the way.

“Cooking means spending time with the family and being creative,” Liam said in a press release.

Rob added: “It’s a way to connect with loved ones and express creativity.”

Simone and Viviana

Edgy besties Simone and Viviana are planning on serving “traditional Italian with a twist” dishes on MKR.

They met three years ago when Simone worked for Viviana as a barber, and she now owns her own salon. Viviana now owns – and works from of hours at – a small takeaway Italian restaurant.

“I wanted to compete on MKR to challenge myself, share my love for cooking, and see how I stack up against other talented cooks. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to learn and grow,” Simone said in a press release.

My Kitchen Rules 2024 premieres on September 9 on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
