Ant Middleton’s Army career

Ant Middleton joined the armed forces at just 16 and had a fruitful career in the UK’s elite forces, including the Marines, 9 Parachute Squadron, and Special Boat Service.

However, it was the military where he excelled, and Ant landed a spot on the coveted SAS Special Forces Selection.

Ant’s TV career

After spending more than a decade in the military, Middleton made his TV debut on the UK version of SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2015.

Since then, he went on to host SAS Australia since the show premiered in 2020. He was also the host of Million Dollar Island Australia in 2023.

Looking back at the massive career change, Ant told Chattr that he couldn’t have guessed that he’d end up on TV but thinks it makes sense.

“I always knew that I had a sort of story to tell. I realised from quite a young age in the military that I love mentoring, I love constructing. I love to bring in the best out of people,” he said.

“So when the show came up it was sort of like a natural progression into what I was passionate about anyway,” he added.

“I suppose this is something that hasn’t really shocked me but has always been something I’ve been passionate about so it fits.”

Does Ant have any dancing experience?

Ant doesn’t have any professional dancing experience, but he will be guided by his DWTS partner Alexandra Vladimirov.

Alexandra has worked on the show as a professional dancer since 2019 and was first partnered with Jimmy Rees, who self-eliminated from the show.

Dancing with the Stars premieres on July 7 at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
