My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024’s Janey and Maddie have ruffled some feathers since they waltzed in as Gatecrashers, and now it’s time to put their cooking skills to the ultimate test.
Janey and Maddie will be cooking a three-course meal for their fellow contestants, as well as MKR Judges Manu Fieldel and Colin Fassnidge, at their Instant Restaurant during round two.

Why did Maddie and Janey go on My Kitchen Rules?
Maddie and Janey are long-time fans of MKR, which is why they decided to apply to go on the show.
“I used to watch MKR with my mum. I love food and love being competitive, so it’s a perfect match for me,” Janey said in her Channel 7 bio.
“To be with my daughter Maddie on this journey is an experience of a lifetime. Cooking on MKR is a dream, but winning the crown would be the icing on the cake,” she added.
Maddie said it was her mum’s idea to join the cooking show.
“My mum has loved MKR for many years. When she mentioned she wanted to apply for the show, I loved the idea. Mum and I have always loved cooking and I thought it would be an amazing experience for us to share while improving our cooking skills,” she said in her bio.

Both women are fans of a good old roast chook! In their Channel 7 bios, both Maddie and Janey listed poultry as their go-to dish.
“Roast chicken with all the trimmings is always a family favourite and lovely to serve on a platter. I serve it with cauliflower gratin, roasted vegetables, creamed spinach, and a generous amount of chicken jus; it’s a classic in hour home,” Janey said.
“I love cooking Asian salmon and roast chicken with vegetables,” Maddie agreed. “For dessert, I really enjoy making raspberry souffle-something Mum taught me to make. They are light to eat at the end of a meal and always look impressive!”

Nothing, so far! Because Maddie and Janie joined MKR as Gatecrashers, they skipped the first round.

When is Maddie and Janie’s Instant Restaurant?
Their first Instant Restaurant airs on October 1, during which they’ll put together a three-course meal for their fellow contestants and Manu and Colin.
They’ve got some stiff competition, though, considering Simone and Viviana have already scored a whopping 104/110 and sit in first place on the MKR leaderboard.
