It was a lovefest on Twitter for one of the MasterChef Australia 2024 judges

"Empathetic, articulate and funny"

MasterChef Australia is back for 2024, and as per usual, people over on Twitter had a lot to say about the new season, as well as the new judges.

Poh Ling YeowJean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin joined Andy Allen as this year’s judges, as well as Temporary Judge Jamie Oliver.

The verdict on how the new judges fared was left in the hands of the people of Twitter, and there was one clear stand out for them.

While all four judges received a lot of praise on the social media platform, it was MasterChef season one runner-up Poh who was clearly a fan favourite.

“I love Poh as a judge, she’s empathetic, articulate and funny,” one user gushed. Another penned: “Aww, Poh is the best, I love her.”

The episode saw all 22 contestants whip up a dish for the judges. A lot of drama focussed on Lily’s soggy choux, but it was Savindri’s Milk Rice and Blackened Coconut Snapper with Sri Lankan Treacle and Nat’s Kangaroo Larb with Soy Cured Egg Yolk & Toasted Rice Wafer that were the judge’s favourites.

Ultimately, Nat was crowned the winner of the challenge, and won the season’s only Immunity Pin, and a trip to London to go to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant.
