Who needs retirement when you can team up with Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin to rob a bank?

With an all star cast of Oscar winners, these three gentlemen team up as old buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide retirement just isn’t going to happen for them and do something drastic for the first time in their lives when their pension fund fails to pull through. Directed by Zach BraffGoing In Style looks like a fresh comedy you will have to see, even if it’s just for the top notch cast.

The plot follows these men who are desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones. Out of the blue, the three risk it all by organising to rob the very bank that absconded with their money. As a remake of the 1979 film, it is bound to ensure laughs as we watch the trio stumble around in an attempt to pull off the biggest thing they’ve ever decided to do.

As if that wasn’t enough, the film’s supporting cast is stellar! We have two-time Oscar nominee Ann-Margret (Tommy, Carnal Knowledge) as Annie, a grocery cashier who’s been admiring Al in rather obvious ways. Joey King (Wish I Was Here) features as Joe’s bright granddaughter, Brooklyn, alongside Oscar nominee Matt Dillon (Crash) as FBI Agent Hamer. The film has also managed to rope in Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future trilogy) as the trio’s lodge buddy, Milton. John Ortiz (Silver Linings Playbook) is also featured as Jesus, a man of unspecified credentials who agrees to show the guys how to set up for a robbery, and Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Joe’s former son-in-law, Murphy, whose connections to a pot clinic connections may be of use.

These three retirees are promising laughs next year!

Going In Style is in Australian cinemas on April 6, 2017.
