Fellow DC fans, it has finally happened! After three years of unjust cancellation and hiatus, the hit animated show Young Justice is finally getting a third season!
Young Justice is an animated show revolving around the exploits and adventures of the sidekicks of the Justice League, the aptly named Young Justice. The show first aired in November 2010, but was sadly cancelled in Spring 2013, without many reasons as to why.
But despite it being short-lived, the show was nominated for five awards and won two, including an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Individual in Animation’ and the Online Film And Television Association Award for Best Animated Series respectively.
Another factor that people believe to have contributed to the show’s return are the popular CW shows Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl, which has seen many of the Young Justice’s core members appear in a live-action portrayal.
“The affection that fans have had for Young Justice, and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us,” Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation said. “We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Now if you will all excuse me, I have a show to binge watch…
