Domenica Calarco has revealed when she’ll return to social media following intense backlash over a controversial podcast episode.
ICYMI: Domenica and her former Married at First Sight co-star-turned-podcast co-host Ella Ding interviewed 2024 participants Tori Adams and Jack Dunkley on their show, Sit With Us.
However, fans and fellow reality TV alumni (*ahem* Abbie Chatfield) criticised the duo for giving Jack a platform and failed to condemn his misogynistic behaviour on MAFS.
Following the scrutiny, Domenica took time off from social media and the podcast to check herself into a mental health facility.
Now, she’s returned to Instagram to update fans on where she and the future of Sit With Us stands.
What did Domenica Calarco say about her time off?
In an Instagram Story shared via the Sit With Us account, Domenica said she was “nearing the end of [her] 221-day stay at a mental health facility”.
“I’ve been focussing intensely on my well-being and recovery,” she wrote. “The time has been invaluable for me, allowing me to reflect, heal, and grow in ways that I couldn’t have imagined before.”
The reality star — who also appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia — thanked fans for their “support, patience and understanding during this time”.
“I am carefully planning my return to social media and anticipate being back sometime later this week,” Domenica shared.
“I am looking forward to reconnecting with all of you, sharing my insights from my experience, and continuing our conversations on important topics particularly on the podcast, I cannot wait to be back with Ella, doing what I love.”

Domenica continued: “My goal is to come back stronger and more mentally fit than ever before.
“I am committed to prioritising my health and well-being, and I appreciate your ongoing support as I navigate this next chapter.”
Adding that she “can’t wait to engage” with fans again soon, Domenica signed off her statement with “love and light”.
In her co-star’s absence, Ella has continued to put out Sit With Us episodes, including one featuring MAFS 2024 star Eden Harper.
